Defending Champs hit the front in Heads Hotel Summer Teams

With only two remaining weeks of normal play in the Heads Hotel Summer teams competition at the Heads the top of the leader board has become quite congested in the run
to the minor premiership. This week 122 players took to the course with scoring a little on the lighter side with all players on 19 or better winning a ball in the ball comp. Balls and vouchers for the year have all been tallied and are available for collection from the shop at any time. Also a timesheet for grand final day which is on Sunday April 3rd has been put out in the shop with times available between 10am and 2pm. Players are requested to play with at least one player from another team on the day.

In the individual score this week our Heads Café player of the week on a count back with 23 points was Phil Ingles. Other scores of note included Bev Calvert also
on 23 points. 22 points was returned by Chris Russell, Jan Smith, Phil Guy and Peta Griffin. 21 Points was returned by Lyn King, Rob Percival and Marg Hyland.

To the team scores this week and the Team of the week with a score of 98 points gaining them the maximum 17 comp points was Social Set. The team consists of Marla
Coleman, Barb Franklin, Marg Hyland, Gai Richardson, Chris Russell, Jill Simmister, Jan Wood and Jan Smith. In second place this week was the Sunday slammers edging out the Heads Hotel and the Maddogs on a count back, Each team gained 16,15 and 14 points repectively. In 5th place was the Kiwi Connection on 94 points gaining 13 comp points one point clear of We are Not Trivial on 93 points and gaining 12 comp points.

To the overall Leader board and the Heads Hotel has taken top spot on 151 points, one point clear of the Dimpled Balls. In third place is the Sunday Slammers on 146
points 2 points clear of fourth place the Muppets. A winning week catapulted Social Set up to 5th place on 142 points, We are not trivial sit in 6th on 139 points whilst Lawsos Mob and Kiwi Connection round out the top 8 on 127 and 125 points each. Still in the running for division one with two weeks to go are the Vultures also on 125 points, Chicks with sticks on
124 and Triple Success on 122.

Dimpled Balls take the lead in Heads Hotel Summer Teams

Only 3 more weeks remain in the Heads Hotel Summer Teams Competition before we split into two divisions for a three week finals series culminating in grand final day on
Sunday April 3rd. The top 8 sides will qualify for division 1 and the chance to win the overall competition. The remaining nine sides will continue to play for the B division title.

This week in the individual scores 20 points was required to win a ball in the ball comp. Our Heads Café player of the week with a great score of 25 points on a count
back was Robert Sunderland. Other score of note went to Nerrida Flood who also posted 25 points, Karen Hansen and Lorraine Franklin both had 24 points whilst Lance King, Phil Ingles and Tony Rixon all managed 23 points.

To the teams scores this week and Dimpled Balls gained 12 points for their score of 95, Sunday Slammers managed a score of 96 to gain 13 comp points, Heads Old Pub
picked up 14 points for their score of 97 whilst the vultures gained 15 points for their score of 95. Chicks With Sticks were runners up this week gaining 16 comp points for a score of 100 and the team of the week with a great score of 107 was the Carpetbaggers. The team consists of Robyn Gerrard, Julie and Phil Ingles, Lance and Lyn Knig, Di and Craig Watt and Di Murray.

To the overall standings and a poor week from the Muppets saw them relinquish the top spot in the race for the minor premiership, instead it is the Dimpled Balls who
have taken top spot on 141 points 1 point ahead of the Muppets, Heads old Pub sit third on 136 points, in fourth is the Sunday slammers on 130 points, We are Not Trivial stay in 5th on 127 points, Social Set are 6tgh on 125 points whilst four teams within a point of each other are in a race for the final two spots in division 1. Chicks With Sticks, Lawsos Mob and Vultures all sit on 117 points with Triple Success a point further back.

Heads Hotel Summer Teams Recommences at the Heads

<o:p> After 6 weeks off over the chistmas and holiday periods the Heads Hotel Summer Teams competition has recommenced. The competition will run for a further 5 weeks before we split into two divisions for a 3 week finals series.

In the first week back we had 141 players take to the course which at this point in
time looks an absolute picture. 20 points was required by an individual to win a ball and once again the scoring was quite solid with little rust shown by many of the players.

To the individual scores and The Heads Café Player of the week with a score of 24 points on a countback was Duncan Maddinson. Other great scores of note came from Colleen Locke, Lindsay Shirlaw and Col Parrish who posted 24 points. Gail Kovacs returned a score of 23 points whilst Tracey Casinelli and Mic Collins managed 22 points each. A solid score of 21 points was also returned by Dave Lamb, Col Mulholland, Warren Higham, Bob Ashby, Maureen Monty, Noel Garden, D Woods and Brad Sharpe.

In the team scores the Team of the week returning a super score of 108 points were the Vultures. The team consists of Wazza, Noely Garden, Jim and Gail Kovacs, Maureen Latimer, Col and Connie Parrish and Robert Sunderland. For their efforts the team gained 17 competition points. Gaining 16 competition points with a score of 102 was We are Not Trivial, the Muppets managed a score of 98 to pick up 15 comp points,
The Dimpled Balls returned a 95 for 14 comp points whilst Triple Success picked
up 13 comp points for a 95 on a count back. Lawsos Mob managed a 93 for 12 comp
points and Its Just a Game gained 11 comp points for their score of 92.

To the overall leader board and the Muppets opened up a strong lead moving to 136 points, in second place is the Dimpled Balls on 129 points. Sitting 3rd
is Social Set on 123 points one poit ahead of 4th place the Heads Old Pub. A good week by we are not trivial boosted them to 5th place on 121 points whilst in 6th place we have the Sunday Slammers on 117 points. Lawsos mob sit 7th on 110 points and the Kiwi Connection round out the top 8 on 107 points.

Muppets hold on to lead in Heads Hotel Summer Teams

With the festive season here the Heads Hotel Summer Teams competition has entered its mid competion break with the competition to resume on Monday the 8th of February. So far in the competition an average of 130 players a week have played in the event which has been excellent to see. In the final week before the break 132 players took to the course and all scores of 20 points or better were successful winning a ball in the ball comp.
In the individual scores and Jan Wood, Phil Guy, Di Watt, LorraineFranklin and Jill Simmister all had a great score of 22 points. Garry Hoare and Geoff Collins posted scores of 23 points. Barb Franklin and Peta Griffin had a great round returning 24 points whilst Troy Thompson and Tony Langley returned scores of 25 points. This weeks Heads Café player of the week with a super score of 27 points was Bev Calvert.

On to the team scores this week and Its Just a Game managed a score of 94 to gain 10 comp points, The Dimpled balls score of 95 gained them 11 comp points. The Muppets continued their solid year scoring 96 to gain 12 comp points. Sunday Slammers
managed a great score of 97 to gain 13 comp points whilst Lawso’s Mob picked up 14 comp points for their score of 100. Heads Old Pub and Kiwi Connection both returned a score of 101 to gain 15 and 16 points respectively on a count back. This weeks team of the week with a great score of 109 was Social Set gaining the maximum 17 comp points. The team consist of Marla Coleman, Barb Franklin, Margy Hyland, Gai Richardson, Chris Russell, Jill Simmister, Jan Smith and Jan Wood.

To the overall leader board and the Muppets still lead the way on a score of 122, a
great week by Social Set moved them to 2nd on 120 points. In third place sit the Dimpled Balls on 116 points whilst the Heads old pub have climbed to 4th on 114 points. Sunday Slammers are 5th on 108 points, 6th place sit We are not trivial on 106 points one point
clear of 7th place Kiwi Connection and Lawsos mob round out the top 8 on 99 points.

Chicks With Sticks Gain top points in Heads Hotel Summer teams

Week 9 of the Heads Hotel Summer Teams at Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club was run and won this week, once again we had a great turn out with 128 players taking to the course.
As a result a score of 20 points was required to win a ball in the ball comp.

This week coming marks the last week of the comp before we spell for the Christmas and holiday season with the comp to resume on Monday February 8th when
we play for five more weeks before a 3 week finals series culminating in grand
final day on Sunday April the third.

To the individual scores this week and a score of 22 points was had by Rose McIntosh, John Burling, Warren Higham, Derek Smith and Barney Kingom whilst 23 points was returned by Ron Ashby, Maureen Monty, Glen Flano, Ryan Lord and Bob Ashby.
Score of 24 points were plentiful with Maureen Latimer, Craig Watt, Pat Herrick, Tracy Casinelli and Jenny Miller. Our Heads Café Player of the week also with a score of 24 points on a count back was Michael Collins.

To the team scores this week and score of 99 were returned by We aare not trivial and the Dimpled Balls which gained them 10 and 11 comp points on a count back. 4 teams
returned a score of 101 being Triple Success, Vultures, Carpetbaggers and Its Just a Game which saw 12, 13, 14 and 15 comp points scored on count backs. A great score of 103 was returned by the Heads Old Pub and this week team of the week with a score of 107 to gain the maximum 17 comp points was the Chicks With Sticks. The team consists of Peta and Jamie Griffin, Tracey Casinelli, Lynne Davis, Michelle Flanaghan, Nerida Flood, Jen Miller and Deb O’Brien.

To theoverall leaderboard and the Muppets still hang on to top spot on a total of 110 points, the Dimpled Balls are second on 105 2 points clear of 3rd place Social Set. Heads old Pub after two great weeks have jumped to 4th place on 99 points. We are not trivial are 5th on 97 points, Sunday Slammers have dropped to 6th on 95 points. Chicks with sticks have jumped to 7th on 91 points whilst Triple Success and Kiwi Connection
round out the eight tied on 89 points.

Muppets continue to lead the way in Heads Hotel Summer Comp

Only two weeks remain until we spell for the festive season in the Heads Hotel summer teams competition at the Heads Golf Club. The competition will resume on Monday the 8th of February when we will play for 5 more weeks before we commence a 3 weeks final series culminating in grand final day on Sunday April 3rd.

This week 125 players teed off and 20 points was required to win a ball in the ball comp, so far this year we have averaged around 130 players a week meaning the competition has increased by over 30% on last year and we thank everyone for their efforts.

On to the individual scores this week and Craig Watt, Phil Ingles, Jim Butt and Brett Lawson all had scores of 22 points. Nick Skinner, Fobsy, Colleen Locke and Noel Garden managed 23 points each whilst Ryan Lord amassed 24 points. A three way count
back was needed to decide the Heads Café player of the week with scores of 25 points to Troy Thompson, Derek Smith and our weekly winner in Chris Russell.

To the weekly team scores and Social Set gained 11 comp points for their score of 98 whilst the Muppets continued their good form with a score of 99 to gain 12 com points. Dimpled Balls amassed a ton to gain 13 comp points whilst the vultures had a solid week scoring 101 to gain 14 comp points. Lawso’s Mob had a great week scoring 102 to gain 15 comp points whilst the same score was had by Kiwi Connection gaining 16 comp points on a count back. This weeks team of the week with a score of 106 gaining the maximum
17 comp points was the Heads Old Pub. The team consists of Col Waller, Matt Vout, John Burling, Kev and Lorraine Franklin, Barney Kingdom, Ian Paynter and Troy Thompson.

To the overall standings and the Muppets continue to lead the way on 101 points with Social Set running second on 95 points, 3rd place sit the Dimpled Balls on 94 points whilst the Sunday Slammers are fourth on 88 points. We are not Trivial are 5th on 87 points with the Kiwi Connection running 6th on 84 points. A great week from the Heads Old Pub catapulted them in to the top 8 sitting in 7th place on 83 points and Lawso’s Mob round ou the 8 on 81 points.

Muppets open up a lead in Heads Hotel Summer Comp.

Week 7 of the Heads Hotel summer teams comp at the Heads was played this week with 130 players taking to the course, once again scoring was hot with 20 points required to win a ball in the ball comp. To all players please ask to see if you have any balls on your account as they are ready for collection.

In the individual scores this week and Barney Kingdom, Lance King, Mary
McDowell and Chris Russell all fired a great score of 23 points, Pommy Gallagher shot lights out with 24 points and this weeks Heads Café player of the week with a score of 25 points was Di Murray.

To the team scores this week and 8 teams managed a score of 100 or better. The Vultures and the Heads Pub New both had scores of 100 to gain them 10 and 11 comp points whilst 3 teams had a score of 101 in Carpetbaggers, Muppets and Heads Pub Old
which earnt them 12, 13 and 14 comp points on count backs. We are not trivial had a solid week soring 103 to earn 15 comp points whilst social set posted 103 as well to gain 16 comp points on a count back. This weeks team of the week with a score of 104 was the Dimpled Balls who gain 17 comp points. The team consists of Dan Wenborn, Dave Lamb, Dave Cawthorn, Colleen Locke, Awful Orford, Pat Herrick and Gary Hoare.

To the overall Leader board and Muppets have opened up a nice lead to sit a top the leader board on 89 points, Social Set are second on 84 points one point clear of Sunday Slammers on 83, Dimpled Balls moved up to fourth on a score of 81 points whilst We are Not Trivial sit fifth on 78 points. A poor week from Triple Success saw them slide to 6th on 73 points whilst Kiwi Connection and Chicks With Sticks round out the top 8 on scores of 68 and 67 respectively.

Only three weeks remain folks before we break for the Christmas and January period with the comp to resume in early February

Triple Success win the week in Heads Hotel Summer Comp

6 weeks of the Heads Hotel summer comp at Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club have been completed and the leaderboard is slowly starting to sort itself out. This week we had 132
players take to the course with all scores of 19 winning a ball and also loosing some handicap.
In the individual scores this week 23 points was recorded by Rick Ryan, Steve Jermyn, Fobsy, Lach Maddinson, Doc Davies, Derek Smith and Peter Richardson, Whilst Risco and Matty Vout returned scores of 24 points. The Heads Café player of the week with a great score of 26 points was Denise Vynes.

To the team scores this week and the Bushwackers had their best score for the year recording a score of 98 to gain 12 comp points. The Muppets continued on their merry way scoring 99 to gain 13 comp points. The Maddogs also had their best week so far scoring 100 to gain 14 comp points as did the Heads Pub Old Curses who gained 15 comp points on a count back. We are not trivial were this weeks runners up with a great score of 103 to gain 16 comp points.

The team of the week gaining the maximum 17 comp points with a great score of 106 was Triple Success. The team consists of Brian Adams Bev Calvert, Denise Vynes, Steve Franklin, Warren Higham, Peter Richardson, Lyndsay Shirlaw and Derek Smith. Well done and each player wins 2 balls each.

To the overall leaderboard and we have joint leaders on 76 points with the Sunday Slammers and the Muppets. After a great week this week Triple Success sit third on 69 points one point clear of 4th place Social Set. After a shocker this week the Dimpled Balls have slipped to 5th on 64 points one point clear of 6th place We are not trivial on 63 points. Kiwi connection and Chicks with sticks round out the top 8 on 62 points each.

Lawsos Mob record 2nd win in Heads Hotel Summer Teams at the The Heads

Week 5 of the Heads Hotel Summer teams at Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club was played last week with 124 players taking to the course which in a rain affected week was a great
effort. Once again scoring was ripe with scores of 21 or better winning a ball.

In the individual scores 23 points was had by Greg Flood Steve Franklin, Sandra
Walton, Maureen Monty and Col Parrish whilst 24 points was recorded by Colleen Locke, Tony Langley, Barney Kingdom, Jesse Fenn and Di Watt. A super score of 25 points was recorded by Deb O’Brien whilst Brett Herron and Tracey Casinelli recorded sensational scores of 26 points.

In the team scores this week and the Maddogs broke the ton recording 100 to gain 11 comp points, 101 was recorded by the Muppets and Dimpled Balls to gain 12 and 13
comp points on a count back. Heads Hotel old boys had a score of 102 to gain 14 comp points, the Sunday Slammers continued on their merry way to score 103 and gain 15 comp points whilst Chicks with stick were the runners up this week with a score of 106 to gain 16 comp points

The Overall leader boarb has the Sunday Slammers in first place on 69, the Muppets sit 2nd on 63, Dimpled balls are third on 62, Social set slipped back this week 4th
on a score of 60 and Chicks with sticks round out the top 5 on 59.

This weeks Heads Café player of the week with a sensational score of 27 points was Bob Ashby whilst the team of the week recording a score of 111 to gain the maximum
17 comp points was Lawsos Mob, The team consists of Glen Flano, AJ Robbo, Brett Lawson, Nick Skinner, Arthur Hadley, Brett Herron, Chad Casinelli and Tony Langley.

Kiwi Connection On fire again in Heads Hotel Summer Competition.

118 players made their way out on to Shoalhaven Heads Golf Course in a very wet rain
effected week in the Heads Hotel Summer Teams Competition. This week once again
the scores were red hot with 21 points required to win a ball in the ball comp.

To the team scores this week and Lawsos Mob gained 11 comp points for their score of 97. The Muppets continued their steady form gaining 12 comp points for a score of 98. The Maddogs had a solid week gaining 13 comp points for their score of 100
whils the Sunday Slammers gained 14 comp points on a count back. Chicks with sticks played a great week gaining 15 comp points for a score of 102 while the Dimpled Balls had a great score of 109 to finish runner up and gain 16 comp points.

To the overall leader board and Triple Success sit in 7th spot on a score of 42 a point behind 6th place Chicks With Sticks. Kiwi Connection have vaulted into 5th place on a score of 48, in 4th place we have the Dimpled Balls on a score of 49 whilst the Muppets sit third on 51 points 3 points behind joint leaders Social Set and Sunday Slammers of 54
points.

In the individual scores and Margy Hyland, Keith Muller and Luke Thoroughgood all posted scores of 22, Harry Knowles and Kev Lord managed 23 points whilst Steve Davo and Bob Hansen posted 24’s, Karen Hansen and Ryan Lord had a great score of 25 whilst Gordy Howes score of 26 points was only good enough for runner up this week.

This weeks Heads Café Player of the week with a score of 27 points was Michelle Flanagan. The team of the wekk with a whopping score of 113 was the Kiwi Connection for the second time this year. The team consists of Kev, Jo and Ryan Lord, Bob and
Karen Hansen, Fobsy, Dan Rochford and PhilGuy.

Lawso’s Mob find rhythm in Heads Hotel Summer Teams

Week 3 of the Heads Hotel summer teams competition at Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club saw 123 players take to the course and once again the scoring was hot. This week 21
points was again required to win a ball.

On to the individual scores and Sandra Walton, Jan Wood, Jesse Fenn, Terry Simmister and Harry Knowles all managed 22 points. Rick Ryan had a good day with 23 points, Arthur Hadley amassed 25 points and Derek Smith was this weeks runner up with
26 points.

In the team scores Kiwi Connection returned a score of 95 to gain 11 comp points, a score of 96 for Triple Success helped them to 12 comp points, a score of 98 scored Sunday Slammers 13 comp points. The Muppets continued their good form also scoring 98
to gain 14 comp points. We are not trivial cracked the ton to gain 15 comp points and this weeks runners up were Social Set on 103 to gain 16 comp points.

To the overall leaderboard and Social set have gone to the lead on a score of 44
points 4 points clear of the Sunday Slammers. Consistent golf has seen the Muppets stay in the top 3 on a score of 39 3 points clear of 4th place Triple Success on 36. Dimpled Balls sit 5th on 33 points We are not trivial round out the top 6 on a score of 32 points.

The Heads Café Player of the week with a record score of 30 points was Greg Flood. The Team of the week with a cracking score of 106 to gain 17 comp points was Lawsos Mob, The team consists of Nick Skinner, Glen Flanagan, Brett Lawson, Chad
Casinelli, A J Robbo, Brett Herron, Arthur Hadley and Tony Langley.

Kiwi Connection Fire up in Heads Hotel Summer Teams Competition

Week 2 of the Heads Hotel Summer teams competition was played last week with 116 players taking to the course. Once again scoring was red hot which gave the handicapper plenty of work to do. This week a score of 21 points was required to win a ball and balls are available to be picked up from the shop. This year Titleist have helped us out with a promotion with every ball won giving you a chance to win a Titleist bag at presentation day.

On to the team scores and this week 7 teams managed a score of 100 points or better. In 7th place was We are Not Trivial gaining 11 comp points for their score of 100, the muppets managed 101 to gain 12 comp points, Social set picked up 13 comp points
for a score of 104 whilst Triple Success managed 105 to gain 14 comp points. The Heads Hotel New team is currently showing up last years winners in the Heads Hotel old team scoring 105 to gain 15 comp points and this weeks runners up were the Dimpled Balls with a score or 108 to gain 16 comp points.

To the overall leaderboard and Dimpled Balls and Social Set sit a top on 28 points,
one point clear of Sunday Slammers on 27. The muppets are fourth on 25 points and Triple Success round out the top 5 on 24 points.

To the individual scores and 23 points was had by Cec Montgomery, Tony Rixon, Shane Young, Stu Jamieson, Brett Hill, Glen Flano and Jill Simister. A great score of 24 points was recorded by Dave Cawthorn, Phil Ingles, Gordy Howes, Coop Maddinson, Bev Calvert and Lindsay Shirlaw. This weeks joint runners up for player of the week was Cheryl Grinlington and Marla Coleman on 25 points

This weeks Heads Café Player of the Week with a score of 27 points was Phil Guy and the Team of the week with a score of 111 gaining the maximum 17 comp points was Kiwi Connection. The team consists of Jo, Kevin and Ryan Lord, Bob and Karen
Hansen, Phil Guy, Fobsy and Dan Rochford.

Heads Hotel Summer teams off to a great start.

Week 1 of the 2016 Heads Hotel summer teams comp hit off this week with 123 players taking to the course, this year 17 teams have registered which is up 3 teams on last year. Once again we must say a big thankyou to the sponsors of the event being The Heads Hotel and Col Waller, without your support the event would struggle to run. Also this
year Kev and Lorraine Franklin from the Heads Café at the club have supplied a weekly prize and for we appreciate your support. In recent years Taylor Made have supplied a Bag for someone to win at the end of the year, this promotion will still run however this year Titleist have come on board.

To the weekly results and as per usual at the start of the year scoring was red hot.
21 points was required to win a ball with all players winning a ball also having their handicaps reduced a little. In the individual results Gai Richardson, Terry Simmister and Ron Ashby all managed 22 points, Lyn Davis, A J Robbo and Geraint Roberts mustered 23 points. A host of people made 24 points including Tony Rixon, Phil Ingles, Craig Watt, Michelle Flanagan and Marla Coleman whist Lyndsay Shirlaw and Julie Ingles were beaten on a count back for player of the week on 25 points.

In the team scores for the week Triple Success, Maddogs and Dimpled Balls all scored 97 to gain 10, 11 and 12 points on a count back, The muppets managed a score of 99 to pick up 13 comp points. Chicks With Sticks and Social Set both had scores of 107 to gain 14 and 15 points on a count back whilst the runners up also on a count back with a score of 108 was a new side in the Carpetbaggers.

The Heads Café Player of the week on a count back with a score of 25 points was the reigning player of the year Chad Casinelli. The team of the week with a score of 108 was The Sunday Slammers consisting of Ron and Bob Ashby, Pommy Gallagher, Rob Russell, Terry Simister, Harry Knowles, Geraint Roberts and Greg Wood.

Just a reminder that the week for the event finishes on a Sunday and if you are going to be away at anytime you can put cards in advance so you don’t let your team
down.
